T’ai chi ch’uan originated as a martial art that is now valued for its healthful benefits for both the body and the mind. In this class we’ll learn the form, a series of movements or postures, developed by Cheng Man-ch’ing. Tai chi is a moving and mindful meditation involving strength, flexibility and balance. Tai chi is a relaxed and focused practice that develops and cultivates chi, life-force, that if practiced regularly, will find its way into many corners of the practitioner’s life.
