Glaze Mixing & Making with Fun Chemistry Fundamentals

Make your own ceramics glazes! On Saturday, students will learn about the four major components that make up a glaze and explore the properties and functions of a glaze recipe. Handouts will detail the themes discussed. On Sunday, students will have the opportunity to make glazes themselves.

The regular ceramics studio fee is included in tuition. However, this fee will go towards glaze materials rather than clay & firing costs. Students should bring 1 piece of bisqueware to glaze for a cone 6 electric firing.
