MANY artists struggle with figuring out how to make a living through their art, but it doesn’t have to be that way! This panel discussion will take the mystery out of monetizing your art. You’ll receive insight from five artists who are making their art work for them – from getting over the “ick” factor of self-promotion, to tangible tips regarding online platforms and social media practices, strategic partnerships, grants, and more.
Facilitated by Katie Murray, director of the Orange County Arts Commission, the panel will feature insight from the following artists:
KEITH KNIGHT
Keith Knight is an award-winning cartoonist whose life and work was the inspiration for the streaming television series, “Woke“, on Hulu. He lives in Carrboro.
JUDITH ERNST
Judith Ernst is a ceramic artist living in Chapel Hill represented by FRANK Gallery (Chapel Hill); Galerie Wolfsen (Aalborg, Denmark); Duane Reed Gallery (St. Louis); and The Centerpiece Gallery (Raleigh).
