Help us create a shimmering river of fabric to be displayed on the existing frame. Find Carson Whitmore, Freddie Bell, Mer Haggerty and Marin near the ARTch on Saturday and add your own handmade contribution! The project’s artists have collected fabric scraps from other regional artists, indigo dyed larger pieces of this fabric and are inviting the public to attach smaller bits of bright fabric to the long blue sheets to create glimmers of light in the blue water, a tribute to our local artists and art supporters…. timely as we approach the one-year anniversary of Tropical Storm Chantal and a tribute to this wonderful community that helped our arts community in so many ways.
Free Caricatures with Keith Knight (12-4pm): Have your portrait drawn by a nationally syndicated cartoonist, and the man behind the Hulu series, “Woke.” Keith’s work has been featured in the New Yorker, the Washington Post, Daily KOS, San Francisco Chronicle, Medium.com, Ebony, ESPN the Magazine, L.A.
