Class description: This class is open to all adults but specifically geared towards seniors who are interested in communicating their life story. The instructor’s intent is to empower writers to chronicle and create their life experiences in ways that will be of benefit to their readers, their chosen “viewers” of each writer’s life stories. Students will gain an understanding of the purpose and content of their writing project through group sharing, individual content choices, visual graphs and diagrams, in-class writing exercises, various examples of style and content.

Materials needed: Writing pad, pen and pencil, computer, any earlier pages of memoir content

Materials provided by: Students will be responsible for collecting and bringing their own materials to class

Age Range for this Class

All ArtSchool Classes are for 15 and up unless otherwise specified.

ArtSchool Class Enrollment Policy

Classes that do not meet the minimum enrollment within 3 business days of their start will be cancelled, and any purchased tuition will be fully refunded.

Exchange and Cancellation Policy

You may request a full refund up to 5 business days prior to the start date of your course. You may request a transfer of your enrollment up to 5 business days prior to the start date of your course. We do not process requested refunds or transfers within 5 business days of the start of a class, nor after the class has begun.

ArtSchool scholarships are given out on a semester-by-semester basis. Please fill out our online application here.

You may also download a copy (English) (Espanol) to print and fill out. Please submit these to the Box Office in an envelope addressed to ArtSchool Manager Anna Hewett.
