A memoir is a nonfiction narrative based on one’s memories. Who are you? Who have you been? What are the different versions of your life stories? Writing is thinking. Memoir writing is a way to think about who you are, who you’ve been, and explore different versions of your memories and life.

Life is busy. This course will allow you time to slow down, reflect, and disentangle yourself from your busy life. Allow yourself the space to hear your own voice with memoir writing.

This 4 (90 minutes each session) week course will take you through the process of brainstorming and tapping into memories, narrowing the focus to two or three specific events, brainstorming details to flesh out the memories, and writing them into vignettes.

The course incorporates time to share short passages (voluntary).

Masks must be worn at all times. Students are required to show instructors a proof of vaccination before attending in-person classes. Refunds and exchanges are not offered for in-person classes offered during the pandemic.
