Class description: This class is for anyone wanting a mode of expression. No previous experience is required. The ideal student is someone who is curious about their ability to learn and create with little more than their hands and a piece of paper.  Students will be inspired and empowered to explore the possibilities of a single piece of paper. Theo will be their coach, sharing what he has learned and encouraging independent study.  Projects that will be undertaken in the course will include: a variety of gift objects. Japanese washi paper will be made available for students to transform paper models into gifts for family and friends. And yes, every gift requires the appropriate box, which we will also be learning how to make.

Materials needed: scrap paper, kami paper, Japanese washi paper, heavyweight brown wrapping paper, paper cutter, scissors, glue stick, ruler, paper clips

Materials provided by: Instructor will collect materials and make them available for students; students will be required to bring a materials fee to the first class to reimburse the instructor

.

Materials fee: $20

Age Range for this Class

All ArtSchool Classes are for 15 and up unless otherwise specified.

ArtSchool Class Enrollment Policy

Classes that do not meet the minimum enrollment within 3 business days of their start will be cancelled, and any purchased tuition will be fully refunded.

Exchange and Cancellation Policy

You may request a full refund up to 5 business days prior to the start date of your course. You may request a transfer of your enrollment up to 5 business days prior to the start date of your course. We do not process requested refunds or transfers within 5 business days of the start of a class, nor after the class has begun.

ArtSchool scholarships are given out on a semester-by-semester basis. Please fill out our online application here.
