Swing, Blues, and Charleston Wednesdays (Starts Dec. 4)

PLEASE NOTE:   You may now register in advance for a month’s worth of swing (either online or through our Box Office).  However, to buy a single class, you must purchase at the Box Office shortly before the class begins.  Check Swing flyers available near The ArtsCenter box office, or contact Richard Badu at 919-724-1421 or rbadudance@gmail.com for specific information on monthly classes since the class content or level may change.

No partner necessary.

East Coast Swing—the most popular swing dance in the area and the easiest one to learn.  Recommended if this is your first partner dance.  Originally danced to Rock and Roll and Rhythm and Blues in the 1950s, this style can be danced to many different kinds of music.

Blues– For Blues music, or just when the tempos get slow, this is the dance to get in the groove!

December 4 & 11

Intermediate East Coast Swing (Begins with Tucks): 6:15-8:15pm (Intensive 2-hour class!)

Beginning Lindy Charleston 2(Beginning Lindy 1 or basic front and tandem Charleston required!): 8:15-9:15pm

Two 2-hour classes: $46 public, Friends and college students with ID 15% discount; single 2 hour class: $26

Two 1-hour classes: $24 public, Friends and college students with ID 15% discount; single class: $13

Single Classes must be purchased at the door and are not subject to the member discount.
