Myth America – storytelling to rebuild community by Milbre Burch
What do an immigrant, an unhoused person, an essential worker and a child in her unstudied wisdom have in common? Their voices are rarely heard center stage, though their humanity calls to our own.
GRAMMY-nominated storyteller Milbre Burch shares these characters’ stories along with family history and personal tales in a series of FREE performances of her one-woman show, Myth America. The series is supported by the Orange County Arts Commission at venues throughout the county.
On Sunday, November 10th at 2 pm, Burch will perform the 65-minute show as a FREE community-building event for adults at the Main Library, 137 W. Margaret Lane, in Hillsborough.
Matt Hughes, President of Northern Orange NAACP will emcee and lead a post-show conversation with the audience.
Parking is available on the street and in municipal lots in Hillsborough.
