This 4-hour workshop will introduce you to the basics of carving your own original rubber stamps for use in your acrylic/mixed media paintings. This is a simple, fun technique that has unlimited design and layering possibilities. We will also explore other stamping methods.
A materials fee of $10 is due to the instructor at the beginning of class.
Instructor Bio:
Luna Lee Ray received her BFA from the Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, Oregon in 1988, in printmaking. She has lived and shown her work in Oregon, Hawaii, Arizona and New Mexico before relocating here in 1998. She now focuses on mixed media drawings and paintings, and shows her work locally at Frank in Chapel Hill.
In-person classes offered during the pandemic are conducted at a low maximum capacity and with social distancing measures in place. Masks must be worn at all times. Students are required to show instructors a proof of vaccination before attending in-person classes. Refunds and exchanges are not offered for in-person classes offered during the pandemic.
