Handmade Books: Accordion Structures

A great introduction to handmade books and their tools and techniques, accordion style bookmaking involves folded forms with endless possibilities for creative structures. This class will cover the basics of handmade books, including types of paper, proper folding and glueing, and simple stictching techniques. Tools include bone folders, various glues, the awl, needle and thread. The accordion book is a perfect way to present photos, artwork, or stories.

A $25 materials fee is due to instructor at the beginning of the first class.
