Promoting and strengthening the artistic and cultural development of Orange County, North Carolina
THE HILLSBOROUGH CLASSIC FILM SOCIETY is happy to be starting up again in conjunction with the Passmore Center, and happy to be showing films now in the large Passmore Center theater. On Sunday, March 27, the Film Society will present High Noon (1952), one of the greatest and most elegant of the mythic westerns. It stars Gary Cooper as Marshal Will Kane and Grace Kelly as his new bride. The speaker will be Gustavo Furtado of Duke Film Studies and the John Hope Franklin Humanities Institute. March 27 at 2 pm at the Passmore Center, next to the Sportsplex on Meadowlands Drive. It is free to the public (and free popcorn). There are a limited number of seats available, so please sign up in advance at the Society’s website:
www.hillsboroughclassicfilms.com or at the Passmore Center Desk, 919-245-2015.
