EcoHopeful Poetry Writing Workshop for Teens

Two events in one. Come first to discuss and explore the topic of the changing climate and hope, then write poetry about it. We will read our poems aloud and practice using a microphone. Poets will then take their poems home, work on them, and send them back to the instructor (Liza Wolff-Francis, Carrboro Poet Laureate) who will combine them into a zine. The second event will include a reading of the poems at Lanza’s cafe in Carrboro. Poets are asked to participate in both events.
The first writing part of this event will be Saturday January 11th, 2025 from 1:00-4:00 pm at the Carrboro Civic Club, 108 Bim St. in Carrboro
The second part will be a reading at Lanza’s Cafe in Carrboro on February 7th at 7:00 pm. at 601 W. Main St. Carrboro.
