Creating a Mixed Media Altered Book Journal | 6.21 – 7.5

In this workshop, students will learn how to turn an old book into an art journal or an “altered book”. Instructor Donna Stubbs will provide discarded old books that can be recycled into one-of-a-kind art pieces with the addition of drawings, mixed media paintings, writing and doodles. The joy of upcycling a book in this way is you always have a surprise waiting for you on the next page! Text and illustrations add layers of interesting elements. When you have something to respond to, you have no fear of the white page – only the fun of trying out various media. We will use paint, brushes, markers, ink, paper collage, stamps, brayers, various mark-making tools, stencils, and our hands to add art pages to your book.

We do not process requested refunds or transfers within 5 business days of the start of a class, nor after the class has begun.
