Age Range: Kindergarten – 2nd Grade
We will explore the fun textures and patterns of some of our favorite animals and learn how to draw them step by step. We will use these drawings to create artwork and stories that we will get to share with our classmates. Together we will learn about where animals live, and how they take care of their homes.
Monday: Talk about our favorite animals. We will look at patterns and guess the animals they belong to (Zebra, Cheetah, Cow, Scales) Step by steps on how to draw some of these patterns.
Tuesday: Step by step drawings. Starting with animals that could be our pets. (Based on their favorites) Dogs, Cats, chickens, Horses
Wednesday: Continued from Tuesday. Add color and pattern to our animals.
Thursday: Wordless stories we could tell with our animals.
Materials: pencils, pen, markers, colored pencils, erasers, crayons
This class is conducted online! A computer with audio, video, and internet functionality is required. Student gives permission for The ArtsCenter and for instructor to use their image and comments in class recordings for promotional non-commercial purposes. Refunds and exchanges are not offered for online classes.
