The Cool Award this weekend goes to the opening of Journey: Catharine Carter at Tyndall Galleries in Chapel Hill tomorrow night. Catharine Carter‘s fantastical, dreamy photomontage work is unlike anything you’ve seen. Check out this exhibit which is part of CLICK Triangle Photography Festival.
Foodie alert! James Beard winner John Currence of Mississippi’s famed Big Bad Breakfast is doing a book signing (for his book of the same name) & brunch at Crook’s Corner in Chapel Hill on Sunday. Tomorrow in Chapel Hill , La Vita Dolce Espresso & Gelato Cafe is having a Pumpkin Revival featuring live tunes by Vinyl Revival and pumpkin everything!
For the kids… Chapel Hill Philharmonia presents their annual FREE Young Person’s Concert on Sunday at 3pm at Kenan Music Building at UNC.Live music — In Carrboro, Caleb Caudle and Blue Cactus play The ArtsCenter tonight, tomorrow is Jazz Saturday at The Station and Todd Snider and Rorey Carroll play Cat’s Cradle. In Hillsborough, Tiny House plays Nash Street Tavern tomorrow night. In Chapel Hill The Halves& The Remarks play The Cave tomorrow night and the Chapel Hill Service League presents An Evening with Elvis at UNC Friday Center for Continuing Education with Elvis Tribute Artist Keith Henderson.Theater — PlayMakers Repertory Company presents Arthur Miller‘s The Crucible tonight, tomorrow night and Sunday matinee (runs through Nov. 6th). If you’re in a comedy mood, Transactors Improv Company performs at The ArtsCenter tomorrow night.
