Vitamin O: Linda Soto

Linda Soto moved to New York City from Bogota, Columbia in 1998. She relocated to Orange County in 1999 after visiting and seeing beauty and opportunity. She liked the welcoming atmosphere, the music, the art, and the people from everywhere. “I felt like I was in my city.” Linda and her son Nicholas participate in a Latino folkloric dancing group called Takiri which in the Quecha language means one who creates music and dance.  The group helps members keep their roots and share culture with their children. Linda notes that life here is different than life in New York City: “We don’t have the stress.”
