Chance Murray, 26, does not have a television. “There’s too much to do.” Chance is an artist. He calls Cedar Grove “a quiet place. Things get buried deep. You have to dig them up and I love that.” He plans to remain in Orange County. “I have to be here because I don’t think I could do what I do anyplace else.” Chance also builds furniture and grows organic tobacco, which he uses to roll his own cigarettes. Chance cleans his house top to bottom on Monday and sweeps on Wednesday and Saturday. “The rest of the time, I piddle or putter.” Fall is his favorite season. “I like sweaters a lot.”
