The Orange County Arts Commission and Orange County Arts Alliance are excited to announce a free program for LGBTQ teens at the Eno Arts Mill. Led and created by art therapist Natalia Torres del Valle, the LGBTQ Teen Arts Collective started in 2022 as a safe space for nonbinary teens to create art and connect with others.
An anonymous grant made to the Orange County Arts Alliance, the nonprofit partner of the Orange County Arts Commission, has made the program free for participating students for the 2023 calendar year.
“I am grateful that Teen Arts Collective has received grant funding to make the group free and accessible for all. Therapy is often a financial barrier and this funding ensures an opportunity for LGBTQIA+ teens to receive the support they need as well as have a space where they can express themselves fully. I am excited to see how this group evolves in the coming year and am thankful we can provide this local resource,” states Torres del Valle.
All local LGBTQ teens are invited to participate. The group meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month from 5-6pm at the Eno Arts Mill in Hillsborough. Interested students can register by contacting Natalia at contact@nataliatorresdelvalle.com.
