Rudimentary Arts Techniques Studio for Ages 8 to 10, Week 3: Color It!

Third week in a summer of practical, imaginative, week-long morning workshops to facilitate a basic, but critical, understanding of traditional art techniques.

Each week we’ll review and warm up with basic shapes and shading techniques. We’ll also learn how to use basic color theory in fun, creative ways, while creating drawings to grow your art portfolio.

Each week has a particular emphasis — this week’s emphasis is COLOR IT! Draw flowers or a landscape, or go abstract. Create a color wheel, blend colors, learn about the interaction of warm and cool colors.
