Promoting and strengthening the artistic and cultural development of Orange County, North Carolina
Come meet and socialize with local artists, and with art-enjoying members of the general community!
More than a dozen artists with work at the gallery will be here, many of them working on a current piece of art. You can see their process and learn about their techniques and inspiration.
Here is just a little of what else you can expect:
• We will have paints, markers, crayons, colored pencils, stencils, paper – lots of materials for you to create your own art work
• Debi Drew will be doing watercolor batik mini lessons
• Michi Doan is bringing her ipad with Procreate – learn about what goes into a digital painting!
• There will be a rigid heddle loom set up so you can try your hand at weaving, working on a community weaving piece
• We will have a gel plate print station – try your hand at creating a mono print of your own design!
• The Peace, Personal Perspectives show, with work from 20 local artists, will be available for viewing – as well as 3 more downstairs rooms and the whole 2nd floor full of art
• Whatever else the wonderfully creative artists at the Gallery bring to share!
This is a low-key event, with something for people of all ages and just about all interests to enjoy. Come party with us!
