Making a Life in Music: An Early-Career Artist Intensive with Cathy Fink

Are you an early-career musician wondering how you can make a life with your music? Join Cathy Fink, the IBMA 2021 Mentor of the Year, for a 9-part intensive exploration of the important elements in creating a long-term music career. With discussions and activities of topics ranging from finances to performance skills, from music presenters to non-performance careers, this collaborative workshop will help you develop a network of support and help you create the tools you need to make a life in music. The course will culminate in a showcase performance. Join the next generation of North Carolina musicians on the stage. All genres of music are welcome.

Program specifics:
Includes 2 private ‘check in’ consultations with Cathy Fink between sessions.

You will be asked to commit to attending all 9 online workshops, participating in class and performing at the final Showcase event.

Out-of-class writing and other assignments will be required.

Date and location of final showcase to be determined by instructor and participants.
