Last Friday Art Walk and Opening Reception for ShadowLand

The August Last Friday Art Walk brings festivities across Hillsborough! Here at Margaret Lane Gallery we will have:

-Opening reception for ShadowLand. Step into the shadows with work from 15 local artists, displaying artwork in which shadows dominate — what can we find in the shadows? what mysteries do they hide? what patterns and shapes do they cast?

Participating artists include: Jenn Adams, Dusty Carpenter, Marge Chandler, Adam Cooley, Adeline Cummings, Ari Ferro, Anne C Gardner, Carol Geisler, Alanna Hoffman, D. Xavier Knox, David Knox, Ray LaMantia, Jacqueline Rimmler, Lynn Schmoock, Bernard Thomas, Emily Eve Weinstein

· Tax-Free String Band, live music on the porch, 6-8 pm. Old time string band music — lively traditional dance tunes and songs from Appalachia and the Piedmont.

· Four more rooms and an upstairs, full of work from 35+ local artists.

· Free creation station for you to create your own art. Lots of different art supplies – including charcoal so you can create your own shadowy designs!

– Light refreshments, inspiration, and fun!
