Hannah’s Hope

A unique exhibit of art by Hannah Gettes, a former Orange County school graduate. Hannah was a beloved and bright young lady who tragically lost her life in February after wrestling with anxiety and substance abuse. It is the hope of those who love and cherish Hannah that this gallery show will not only honor her talent and love for art, but might also shine helpful light upon this epic crisis in young adults.
Some current Orange County school students will also exhibit work, and The Art Therapy Institute of Carrboro will serve as a resource during the opening reception.
In addition NAMI Orange County will provide information and copies of Finding Hope: A Practical Guide For Families Affected by Mental Illness Drawn From the Experience of Families Like Yours, by Donna Kay Smith in collaboration with Susan Spalt, will be available.
Show runs June 16 to July 11, with a reception on Friday, June 25, 6-9 pm. The Gallery is open Wednesday through Sunday – please see margaretlanegallery.com for current hours.
Margaret Lane Gallery is located at 121 W Margaret Lane, Hillsborough, NC. Downtown Hillsborough, ½ block off Churton, in between the public library and the Hot Tin Roof.
