Free Expressive Painting Workshop with Marcela Slade

Thursday, September 25, 10am-3pm (30 minute break)

Expressive Painting will incorporate acrylic paint on canvas in an intuitive manner. NOT planned. You will work the background and then pull out what you “see”. Come with an open mind and heart.

I encourage students to work on 2 pieces at a time, for drying time and to get a sense of working as a “series”.

All material provided. If you would like to bring your own materials to complement those provided, feel free!

FREE PUBLIC PARKING is available at the Drakeford Library Complex and public parking lots close to the studio. DO NOT PARK at Carr Mill Mall or behind the studio, YOU WILL GET TOWED.

This program is supported by the Orange County Arts Commission & Eno Arts Mill. I have been granted funds to offer FREE painting workshops.

I will offer 6 (this is the 4th) 5 hour workshops in 7 months. Each workshop will have 3 spots.

Workshops will vary with a focus on intuitive/expressive painting, painting with collage and multimedia (pencils, color pencils, collage and acrylic).

Workshops are open to ANY adult in the community, on a first come, first serve basis. Instructor is fluent in Spanish.
