DIRT. Art and Life Beneath our Feet.

in collaboration with The ArtsCenter in Carrboro
Join us for an unconventional learning-making-tasting exploration as we dig into dirt to find poetry, history, art, and nourishment. We’ll consider dirt through three brief presentations by UNC scholars, get our hands dirty by shaping locally sourced clay into art with the ArtsCenter ceramicist, Taryn Revoir, and Botanist & Barrel Cidery will also be on site for a tasting while sharing the stories behind their products.
Younger family members (ages 5+) will be able to craft and snack separately with ArtsCenter staff while you learn all about dirt.
Content Notice: One of the presentations will address themes of racial violence and lynching.
