Chapel Hill Philharmonia Concert: A Mosaic of Music

On Sunday, December 11, the Chapel Hill Philharmonia will present “A Mosaic of Music”. Guest conductor Vincent Povazsay leads the orchestra in the program of unusual symphonic works. Fanny Mendelssohn-Hensel’s “Overture in C” is followed by Marquez’s exciting Latin symphonic dance “Conga del Fuego Nuevo”. Sibelius’s powerful Symphony #1 completes the evening.
The free concert is at 7:30 pm in Moeser Auditorium on the UNC-CH campus. Support is provided by the Orange County Arts Commission and the N.C. Arts Council, a division of the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources.
