Promoting and strengthening the artistic and cultural development of Orange County, North Carolina
On Sunday, October 23, the Chapel Hill Philharmonia will present its popular annual children’s concert. Guest conductor Evan Feldman will lead the orchestra in a free program titled “Music in Motion”. The exciting program features McTee’s “Fisher’s Hornpipe”, Marquez’s dancing “Conga del Fuego Nuevo”, Weisert’s startling “The Echo King”, and Day’s “Lightspeed”. A Fanny Mendelssohn overture and Miranda’s jaunty “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” are included.
The concert is at 3:00 pm in Moeser Auditorium on the UNC-CH campus. This free program is supported by the Orange County Arts Commission and N.C. Arts Council, a division of the Department of Natural and Human Resources.
