Promoting and strengthening the artistic and cultural development of Orange County, North Carolina
BeauSoleil avec Michael Doucet returns to The ArtsCenter to host a holiday celebration featuring swamp-pop takes on classic holiday tunes. Born out of the rich Acadian ancestry of its members and bandleader Michael Doucet’s spellbinding fiddle playing and soulful vocals, BeauSoleil’s distinctive sound derives from New Orleans jazz, blues, rock, folk, Zydeco, country and bluegrass. Since becoming the first Cajun band to win a Grammy in 1998 and then a second Grammy in 2010, they have garnered many accolades including twelve additional Grammy nominations. BeauSoleil delighted Carrboro when they played The ArtsCenter in 2018 and we are thrilled to have them back for this special holiday show!
