“Ancestral Frequencies” MFA Class of 2026 Public Opening

April 30 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
Free

Join the Ackland Art Museum for a reception to welcome “Ancestral Frequencies: Selected Works by the MFA Class of 2026.”

Each year the Ackland invites a local arts professional to curate a group exhibition of works by UNC-Chapel Hill’s Master of Fine Arts in Studio Arts candidates. For 2026, Annah Lee, cultural center manager for the Town of Holly Springs, will select works by participating artists Rojano Mohammadzadeh, CJ Murphy, Michelle Lisa Polissaint, Iris Moyan Wang, and Wendy Yamilett.

We will celebrate the opening with light bites and mocktails. Remarks will be given at 6:15 p.m, and the MFA students will be on-site for questions during the reception. Enjoy the evening with us and welcome the work of these MFA students!

This is a free, walk-in event – no RSVP required.
