An Afternoon of Burlesque Art: Live Model Drawing Event

The Bottom Line Burlesque & Comedy Troupe is excited to continue our live-model drawing event series: “An Afternoon of Burlesque Art” in Historic Downtown Hillsborough.

Join Troupe members on Saturday, February 15th at Yonder Bar in Historic Hillsborough, for an afternoon of Burlesque-themed art models. Artists provide their own supplies. Yonder Bar is located at 114 W. King Street, HB, 27278.

This event is open to everyone who is interested in Live Model Figure Drawing. All skill levels are invited to come relax with us, and enjoy an afternoon with a variety of models in “Hillsborough’s Living Room”.

Yonder offers a very cozy, comfortable space. The Bottom Line Burlesque & Comedy Troupe will provide the model(s) as well as the time moderator. We will watch the clock, so you can keep your focus on your drawing. This is not a teaching class, but an opportunity for you to use and expand your skills and talents in a very welcoming atmosphere.

The afternoon session will be timed in the following segments:
2 minute warm-up pose/draw
5 minute warm-up pose/draw
5 minute warm-up pose/draw
10 minute pose/draw
10 minute pose/draw
10 minute pose/draw
Finishing the session with a 20 minute pose/draw (or two ten minute segments, contingent on artist/model decision)

Please, bring your own supplies, in your preferred medium and set up at any of the numerous seating areas, or bring your own easel.

Doors open for this event at 1pm, with the first pose by 1:30. several small breaks will be scheduled, and a longer break will be offered before the final twenty minute (or 2×10) segment.

Pre-registration is required. Tickets are only $10 . Please note, this is not a *total-nude* model event, but models will be dressed anywhere from minimal coverage to embellished costuming.
