Promoting and strengthening the artistic and cultural development of Orange County, North Carolina
Join us at Kidzu Children’s Museum for Sensory-Friendly Nights! We’re thrilled to bring back this FREE monthly program specifically for children with different needs, due to a diagnosis of autism spectrum, sensory processing differences, Down Syndrome and other developmental disabilities. Siblings and other family members are encouraged to attend.
Sensory-Friendly Nights offer the chance to explore the Museum without the noise, crowds, and stimulation of the typical museum visit. We limit the number of families who can attend and provide adaptive equipment such as noise-reducing headphones, sand timers, fidget toys, and visual schedules.
This month’s theme: PUMPKIN PARTY! Join in on the fun and paint a pumpkin, play pumpkin bowling, sort pumpkin seeds, and even get your hands in the pumpkins and feel the gooey guts inside! Register today on the Town of Chapel Hill’s Adapted Recreation web page: https://bit.ly/3o30FU7
Masks are required for all participants, including staff. Temperature checks will be taken at the door. Preregistration is required. This program is limited to 10 total participants, including caregivers and siblings. Please register each person who will be attending.
