In celebration of the company’s 40-year history of improvisation, Actors Improv Theater presents Hystory in the Making, an off-kilter take on the events and people shaping the human story. Rather than a factually accurate presentation of history this show is a fanciful interpretation of it. Completely improvised based on audience suggestions, the show features live music and spontaneous songs.
Parker Bach, Hailey Brown, director Greg Hohn, Dana Marks, and Steve Scott make up the cast. Musical director Glenn Mehrbach (piano) is joined by Rob Ladd (drums) and Ricky Bloomfield (tenor sax/oboe).
Founded in 1983 as Transactors, Actors Improv Theater is the longest-running improvisational company in the South. If you laugh, they’re doing comedy; if you don’t, they’re doing drama.
