La Comisión de Artes del Condado de Orange busca mostrar el talento de los artistas latinxs en el Triángulo a través de su exhibición, “Construyendo puentes: una exhibición de artistas latinoamericanos con sede en el Triangulo”.
El OCAC convoca a los artistas visuales a enviar obras para la exhibición inaugural el viernes 1 de julio de 2022 en “Eno Arts Mill” en Hillsborough. Las obras seleccionadas estarán a la vista y a la venta hasta finales de julio 2022.
ELEGIBILIDAD:
Todas las postulaciones deben presentarse antes de las 11:59 pm. del viernes 10 de junio.
Abierto a artistas visuales latinos de primera y segunda generación que actualmente viven en los condados de Orange, Durham, Wake y Chatham.
- Los artistas pueden presentar hasta tres obras para la exhibición. Se requiere una lista de imágenes con el título, tamaño, medio, año, edición y precio. Las imágenes deben tener una resolución mínima de 300
- Todos los medios están permitidos
- Todos los envíos deben estar a la venta
- Obras bidimensionales y tridimensionales permitidas
- No hay limitaciones de tamaño
- Los trabajos en papel y lienzos de menos de 1″ de grosor deben estar enmarcados y cableados correctamente (sin ganchos de dientes de sierra)
- OBRA VENDIDA: Por toda la obra vendida, la Alianza de las Artes del Condado de Orange (en nombre de la Comisión de las Artes del Condado de Orange) retendrá una comisión del 40 %. La OCAA recaudará todo el dinero de la venta de obras de arte, incluidos los impuestos, hasta finales de julio. Los artistas recibirán el pago antes del 31 de agosto
- OBRA SIN VENDER: Los artistas deben recoger su obra la semana del 1 de agosto, o enviar la obra por correo a su cargo
- La OCAC/OCAA no asume ninguna responsabilidad por robo, daño o responsabilidad. El artista es responsable del seguro de la obra de arte. La OCAC/OCAA hará su mejor esfuerzo para garantizar la seguridad de la obra de arte en la Galería Eno Mill.
- Los artistas aceptan permitir que la OCAC/OCAA use imágenes de obras de arte con fines promocionales (se dará crédito)
Las presentaciones serán revisadas por un panel de artistas visuales latinos; los artistas seleccionados serán notificados a más tardar el viernes 17 de junio. Los artistas están invitados a la exhibición inaugural el viernes 1 de julio de 2022 de 6 a 9 p. m. en Eno Arts Mill en Hillsborough, con música en vivo, camiones de comida y bebidas, actividades para niños y visitas abiertas al estudio.

An Exhibit of Triangle-based Latin American Artists
The Orange County Arts Commission seeks to showcase the talent of Latinx artists in the Triangle through its exhibit, Building Bridges: An Exhibit of Triangle-based Latin American Artists.
The OCAC invites visual artists to submit works for the exhibit opening Friday, July 1, 2022 at the Eno Arts Mill in Hillsborough. Selected works will be on view and for sale through the end of July.
GUIDELINES
All submissions are due by 11:59pm on Friday, June 10.
Open to first and second-generation Latinx visual artists currently living in Orange, Durham, Wake and Chatham counties.
- Artists may submit up to three works for the exhibit. An image list with the title, size, medium, year, edition, and price is required. Images should be a minimum 300 resolution.
- All mediums are allowed
- All submissions must be for sale
- Two and three-dimensional works allowed
- There are no size limitations
- Works on paper and canvases less than 1″ thick must be properly framed and wired (no sawtooth hangers)
- WORK SOLD: For all work sold, the Orange County Arts Alliance (on behalf of the Orange County Arts Commission) will retain a 40% commission. The OCAA will collect all monies from the sale of artwork, including tax, through the end of July. Artists will receive payment by August 31.
- UNSOLD WORK: Artists must pick up their work the week of August 1, or have artwork mailed at their own expense.
- The OCAC/OCAA assume no responsibility for theft, damage or liability. The artist is responsible for insurance of artwork. The OCAC/OCAA will make their best effort to assure the security of the artwork in the Eno Mill Gallery.
- Artists agree to allow the OCAC/OCAA use of images of artwork for promotional purposes (credit will be given).
Submissions will be reviewed by a panel of Latinx visual artists; selected artists will be notified no later than Friday, June 17. Artists are invited to the exhibit opening Friday, July 1, 2022 from 6-9pm at the Eno Arts Mill in Hillsborough featuring live music, food trucks and beverages, kids’ activities and open studio tours.
