Applications for the Durham Arts Council’s Emerging Artists Grants are now open
Emerging Artists Grants support career development projects for artists in all art forms who are at least 18, have been resident in the participating NC counties of Durham, Orange, Chatham, Person and Granville Counties for at least one year and are not currently in a degree program in their art form. The first grant workshop will be offered July 12 at 6 pm at the Chatham Arts Council in Pittsboro. Additional workshops are scheduled for July 19 in Roxboro, July 31 in Chapel Hill (Seymour Center: 2551 Homestead Rd.) and August 14 in Durham. Applications are available online and due September 22. The Emerging Artists Program is funded by grants from the NC Arts Council, a division of the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, The Mary Duke Biddle Foundation, Chatham Arts Council, Orange County Arts Commission, Person County Arts Council and Granville Education Foundation, and contributions to the Durham Arts Council’s Annual Arts Fund.
