About this Course
Life experiences count! If you’re lucky enough to have hit the 50+ year mark, you got ‘em. Make funny scenes with other folks who’ve ‘been there.’ All you need is a previous hello with a basic improv class or have a theater background. Instruction in this 4 session series celebrates the creative spirit with humor. You’ll be amazed at the moments you can capture in class. Better than a Polaroid camera.
About the Instructor
Carolyn Cole is a seasoned improviser and teacher who decided to accelerate her improv skills with intensives at major improv theaters in NYC and Chicago. She has learned from master teachers like Susan Messing, Craig Cackowski, and David Razowsky, among others. Carolyn travels yearly, continuing to study and perform using different improv approaches. She founded “50+ Improvisers,” believing that older students have a wonderful store of life experiences from which to draw for improv. To quote her, ”Improv continues to be a joy for me when I teach, perform and continue my journey as a perpetual student. I’ll happily share my knowledge and enthusiasm with you.” Carolyn performs locally and in Festivals with the ECHOES, a JTS Brown inspired troupe that uses trippy, dream logic to deliver a unique improv show.
