Weave & Spin is not your run-of-the-mill open mic. It’s a safe space for all humans 18+ to share tales of life: from joy to trauma, from hilarity to drama. If you are a poet, storyteller, or musician, bring your truth. Each month will showcase one featured artist followed by an open mic. We particularly invite BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and anyone else who has waited too long to be heard.
Every 3rd Wednesday, 6-7:30pm (Doors open at 5:40pm)

Jada Imani and Kristine Moon
Jada Imani is a Greensboro native who has been writing and performing for the vast majority of her life. She is a devoted mother and artist who has facilitated workshops as well as many other community events. Jada says, “I believe I was put on this earth to use my art to inspire and give voice to those who feel they don’t have one. I believe that elevating not only my voice, but the voices of those around me to provoke change in this world is the greatest legacy I could ever leave.”
Kristine Moon has been singing her whole life. She is a Filipina-American with Norwegian and Spanish heritage, and she lives with her wonderful family in North Carolina. Kristine says, “It is interesting to map my musical influences with my cultural identity, as I have all of my homes in my voice–from world music to Appalachian folk, from R&B to Nordic alternative sounds. . . I Hear it all!” Her music is best described as New Age Electro-Pop. She hopes her music helps people on their healing journeys.
