Promoting and strengthening the artistic and cultural development of Orange County, North Carolina
The Suffragist Project is a limited audio drama series about the suffrage movement in America. Each episode will cover different time periods and suffrage leaders in the fight to win the vote for women. Spanning the 70+ years from the first organizing meeting in 1848 in Seneca Falls, NY to the dramatic last minute change of heart vote of one young representative in the Tennessee Legislature, these stories bring the real women and men who fought for and against enfranchisement for women.
Join us as we take a dramatic look at the fight for the vote.
The Suffragist Project is produced OdysseyStage in association with the Triangle Playwrights. This production is supported by the Orange County Arts Commission and the Manbites Dog Theatre Fund.
