CALL FOR ART: 1.5°C
BIG NEWS: Our partner, the Orange County Office of Sustainability, has committed to a Purchase Award up to $1,000! Apply before 11:59pm on Monday, Feb 19!
Artists are invited to submit works of art made from recycled, natural, or sustainable materials and/or art themed around the environment, earth, climate change, sustainability or similar.
Possible considerations of themes to explore:
- How are we impacting the earth?
- What can we do towards making positive change?
- What impact does climate change have on us?
- What does a healthy earth look like to you?
The Orange County Arts Commission, in partnership with the Orange County Office of Sustainability invite visual artists to investigate these themes through works of original art. As of November 2023, the Orange County Board of County Commissioners adopted the County’s first Climate Action Plan (CAP). To learn more about the five areas of focus visit the CAP Dashboard HERE
The selection team will include 2D and 3D artists. They will be evaluating submissions based on the following criteria: Interpretation & clarity of theme to the viewer; Creativity and originality of depicted theme; Quality and overall design; and overall impression.
