SUMMARY:Altered Chapel Hill Pop-Up Exhibit
DESCRIPTION:In celebration of Chapel Hill’s 200th anniversary celebration\, artist Wendy Spitzer (a.k.a Felix Obelix) has created altered vintage postcards from unusual images and elements of Chapel Hill’s recent and distant past. These pieces will be on display in addition to community creations\, which were made at two art workshops that happened this past fall. \nContribute to an Altered Chapel Hill postcard by visiting the Gallery and leaving your mark on an unaltered image on display! \nYou may have noticed some of Spitzer’s creations on the Chapel Hill Transit bus stop located at Ridge St. as part of the Art + Transit project. \n\n\n	Related

SUMMARY:Tod Seelie: "American Wild" Popup Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Level Retreat artist-in-residence Tod Seelie presents selections from his forthcoming book\, “American Wild”\, in a one weekend only popup exhibition. \nTod is a prolific photographer and photojournalist\, known for his evocative documentation of events\, locales\, and scenes that few dare to explore. He has photographed all across America and in 25 other countries on five different continents for over 20 years. \nTod has ventured to abandoned buildings and secret punk shows\, journeyed the country aboard freight trains\, and down the Mississippi River on rafts made of recycled junk. His editorial work has appeared in publications including The New York Times\, Stern Magazine\, Time\, Wired\, Vice\, BBC Travel\, Der Speigel\, Art Forum\, ARTnews\, and Alta Journal. \n“His images at times elevate mere weirdness to a more striking realm of visual intrigue\,” wrote the New York Times. “Strange\, vivid\, baffling and relentlessly unexplained\, they leave their viewers transfixed.” \nThis event is made possible by a grant from the Orange County Arts Commission and support from Downtown Chapel Hill. \n  \n\n\n	Related
