DESCRIPTION:Tarot for the Soul\nwith Olivia Davis and Rachel Holderied\n. \nWho is this class for? \nAnyone interested in self-inquiry\, esoteric studies\, metaphysical studies\, numerology\, archetypes\, and interpersonal relationship growth. \n\n\n. \nIs this an introductory class\, or for students who have prior experience? Are there any pre-requisites?  \n\n\nThis is an introductory class. There are no pre-requisites.  \n\n\n. \nWhat is the ideal age range for this course?  \n\n\n15 and up. \n. \nWhat will students learn in this class? And how will they learn it? \n\nIn this class\, you will learn: \n\nthe basics of tarot card meanings (and how to intuitively read tarot cards without having memorized the meaning of each card)\na few easy but profoundly helpful spreads to guide you based on your burning questions how to use tarot as a tool for self-growth and understanding\npractical techniques for integrating tarot into your daily life\nhow to use tarot as a tool for self-growth and understanding\n\n. \nFrom day one\, you’ll be reading tarot cards and gaining a deeper understanding of yourself. This is an experiential class. \n\n\nThis isn’t predictive tarot\, we aren’t trying to forecast the future\, we are using tarot as a tool for self-inquiry and self-growth. \n. \nWho are your teachers? \n\nOlivia is a master bodyworker and has been integrating various healing modalities at her Carrboro studio since 2013. Tarot is a natural playground for her insatiable desire to spiritually evolve and uncover blind spots. She loves assisting clients adopt tools that bring them a greater sense of clarity and peace. Tarot is one of these tools. She is the proud mother of two extraordinary daughters\, Seraphina Bloom and Pema Joy. \nRachel has been mildly obsessed with all things tarot since she got her first deck in 2013. A librarian by trade\, she loves that there is always more to learn about interpreting and interacting with the cards. She lives in Carrboro with her husband\, two kids growing up way too fast\, and a very opinionated bull terrier mix named Indigo. \n. \n\nArtSchool Class Enrollment Policy \nThis class has a minimum enrollment of 6 students. DESCRIPTION:This course is designed to give participants an environment in which to think about who they are as artists\, what their main goals are\, and the possible steps to reach them. The course offers practical exercises\, but is designed to be primarily philosophical. SUMMARY:Flash Fiction Writing
DESCRIPTION:Through reading assignments\, students will become familiar with the flash (very short) fiction genre\, and compare it to the traditional short story. Assignments will include in-class writing exercises and at least three original flashes\, to be written outside of class. Students will critique the work of classmates\, for the purpose of revision and insight into their own writing.
