SUMMARY:Songs from the Circle 11
DESCRIPTION:The ArtsCenter’s annual Songs from the Circle shows are a celebration of the best in classic American Folk and Bluegrass. \nIn spring 2012 local guitarist Danny Gotham organized a memorable benefit concert involving a live presentation of songs from the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band’s iconic album of 40 years prior\, Will the Circle Be Unbroken. Danny and his colleagues have made this a tradition at The ArtsCenter\, and Songs from the Circle returns for its 11th incarnation this year on June 14th. This event builds on the material of the album\, paying homage in a more general sense to the classics\, with an occasional original that stays in the spirit of classic country and bluegrass. \n\n\n	Related

SUMMARY:Leo Kottke
DESCRIPTION:Acoustic guitar legend Leo Kottke was born in Athens\, Georgia\, raised in 12 different states\, and flirted with both violin and trombone before settling on the guitar. After his discharge from the Navy in 1964\, Kottke relocated to the Twin Cities and became a fixture at the Scholar Coffeehouse\, home to Bob Dylan and John Koerner\, releasing his debut LP Twelve String Blues on the Scholar’s tiny Oblivion label. A deal with guitarist John Fahey’s Takoma label soon followed and led to the release of what has become known to fans around the world as “the Armadillo record.” Several celebrated albums and two Grammy nominations later\, Kottke continues to delight audiences the world over with his dexterous finger-style playing and wry storytelling. \n\n\n	Related
