Last Friday Art Walk Events at Margaret Lane Gallery

Lots happening all over town. Here is what we are doing at Margaret Lane Gallery:

Art (6-9 pm):
• Opening reception for Unfettered (Free … Unrestrained … Uncontrolled …) featuring work from Sharon Barnes, Jillian Goldberg, Jeannette Johnson, David Knox, Ray LaMantia, Jeffrey Lee, Rebecca Neigher, Sudie Rakusin, Jacqueline Rimmler, and Sandee Washington.
• Closing reception for Flashes of Hillsborough, a literature/art collaborative with Adam Cheshire (written word), Jordan Howe ( lettering and photography) and Barbara Younger (interpretative collage
• Special In the backyard: Flashes of Orange, Orange High School creative writing and art students will display their own Flashes about growing up in Orange County! And, we will have supplies so you can add your own!”

Music (6:30-8 pm):
• Tim Wells and his Eno Mudpuppies — you can count on hearing banjo, fiddle, guitar and plenty of three-part harmonies with this old timey trio on stage — come along and sing along!

Family activities:
• Arm Painting with Art by Preference — what face paint? Get a dazzling ARM painting by artist Preference Evans, 6-8pm
• Weather permitting, we will set out a couple of tables with art supplies for children up to 99+ (6-9 pm)

Spoken word (8-8:45 pm)
• Local poets on the front lawn
