Art of The Warli
With Sampada Kodagali Agarwal
$125 per person, all supplies included
Warli is a tribal art style from the state of Maharashtra in India. It is a monochromatic and minimalistic, yet a very expressive style that has found universal acclaim. The class will delve into the background of the tribe and learn basic motifs. We will discuss art compositions and each participant will create their own art story visually. No previous art experience is required. We will start drawing on white paper with black pen and then move to painting on a dark background with white paint (if time allows).
A supply package can be purchased for a $10 fee or purchased by the student. The supply list and directions to the Eno Mill will be emailed to you after you purchase the class.
